These pads were put into the original cars in the 1960s and 1970s.If, for example, you place one of these pads in the centre of a door panel, it will attract noise and drumming to it. If you place several of these pads around the bulkhead and the floor panels, it will reduce the drumming of the exhaust. This is a cheap and easy way to reduce noise levels! These pads measure 30.5cm x 19cm (12" x 7.5") each and are manufactured from Bitumen with added mineral fillers and synthetic rubber to form a highly viscoelastic material.
Fitting: to ensure good adhesion these should be fitted in warm conditions and the area should be free of dust and grease – can be cut to size.
