Description

The Mini Clubman was introduced to update the Mini concept and increase Leyland's profitability by extending the range up-market. With the advent of the new doors (featuring winding windows and more modern concealed hinges) this distinctive welded "grid" style was introduced to the side panel trim of the new Mini Clubman and Mini Clubman Estate models, with a similar design being used on the seat covers. This was used on production cars between 1969 and 1976 before it was superseded by the Mk4 style side trim.
